Here's my theory. I know for a fact that Erika Slezak had lunch with Brian Frons several weeks ago. I have a feeling that moving a NY show to LA was
mentioned and ES said great....as long as its not OLTL. Now we all know that actors have little to no power as a rule but in the case of ES she may just have
a bit more than most. I believe she does what shes told, shes a professional, she doesn't make waves and she is truely grateful for her job. As much as
we all tend to dislike BF for the JFP / MM debacle followed up with the DH mess at OLTL I do think he knows that OLTL is the little show that could and right
now is (out of his three messes) so he's rewarding it with a bigger studio.
Now I'm wondering what the heck would posess La Lucci to tell People.com that she was surprised along with everyone else at AMC. Seriously? One would think that BF has lunched with La Lucci as well and said there is an opportunity to keep AMC on the air and get a state of the art studio as well with some amazing tax credits, problem is we have to move the show to LA. I'm sure La Lucci while perhaps not thrilled wasnt totally heartbroken since her daughter and grandkids live there. If I was a member of that cast and I did honestly believe that La Lucci was not told in advance I would be more than a little scared for my job. Could La Lucci really not have been told? I'm wondering what y'all think?
Oh....and one more thing last week before The View went on summer hiatus Barbara Walters was visibly upset/angry that AMC was moving and she seemed upset at the way the cast and crew was told. Do you think there is more than meets the eye here? The whole thing is interesting to me since last year Ugly Betty moved the other direction from LA to NYC.
Guesses? Ideas? Theories?
