I'm not sure if it's the dire SLs the show has been fumbling with the last couple years, my huge disdain for anything involving Marcie, or the fact
that I've basically turned on Starr and am sick of her whining but on Friday when jessica handed over the baby to Todd/Blair it was the first time I sided
with the "wrong" side of a baby-switch and I just wish they would have let her stay with jessica. Kudos to ES who can always make me cry when she was
comforting jessica. And I might have been seeing things but it looked like TSJ started to show some emotion for the first time in years when jessica was
sobbing, he put his hand up to his mouth like he was trying to keep it together. But in all reality, I do NOT want to see marcie end up with this kid. I mean
really, I have NO love for this woman and I am SICK TO DEATH of how apparently the fans want to see marcie and michael ride off into the sunset with a kid. I
don't, I do NOT think she is a fit mother (going on the run with a kid, holding her kid while holding a LOADED GUN during a hostage/standoff) uh, yeah
jessica in her sickest mental state didn't even do that. Let alone it's Todd's grandchild, uh exactly WHAT did todd really have to apologize for?
The fact he was told by spencer and a lying douche rex that is baby was dead all that time? That when Dr. Michael McBain found out he kept his mouth SHUT for
months and months and then marcie goes on the run for MONTHS, totally unstable because she won't give her baby over to the biological father that
didn't even know he was alive?
And this last attempt to throw off the audience if starr is having regrets now about her baby, I am SICK OF IT. I'm sick of starr and her ENDLESS WHINING, really I know KA is a great actress but some of this material she cannot rise from. I really enjoyed her with Scuyler but now it's back to Cole and this endless crap with her baby. I'm glad someone finally acknowledged a month or so ago and had starr "realize" that she pushed marcie adopting her baby as a way to stick it to her dad. Why can't she just acknowledge that now and in the end leave hope with her cousin jessica. That way starr could still be in her baby's life as part of her family. Everyone else seems to have forgiven and FORGET marcie's mental breakdown with a baby last year, she's teaching with kids, have her adopt a kid by all the wonderful people she knows. Or as is normal in soap-world, knock her up already and have all those past tests be wrong.
I'm just sick of the different set of rules that apply to this person or that. No character has any layers. They're either a good guy or a villian. Like marcie and even jessica going off the rails, it's excused because they really are good people. Todd trips up just a bit and he's bad because he's a villian. I think one of the many reasons I like jessica and am more interested in her character is because she doesn't excuse her alters, she acknowledges them as part of HERSELF, it helps give her layers as a character and not become boring (hello rex, gig, jared, natalie, cris, etc).
Just my two cents on all this crap.
