Brody and Schuyler are the only two main guys I really dig (marrko being a good third). I was really on the fence about Scott Clifton going off of the very
limited time I saw him on GH (think it was the spikey hair). I was afraid we'd have another toolish douche (ala rex) but he's been such a breath of
fresh air. I normally don't think or go for the guys who have an adorableness about them but I do for him, plus he can be snarky (his exchanges with rex I
love because it just makes rex look that much more of a tool) and also shows a better actor can pull of snarkiness and cuteness when done right.
I started warming up to Brody suprisingly when he knew he was gonna lose shane and took him. Since then and the stuff with jessica I've really liked him and am rooting for him and jessica which I didn't see happening after how she lost nash. He was making me cry with jessica in the nursery as much as jessica was. I really like these two together. I think what works well in both these characters is that neither one is all black or all white. They have inner issues that are played out well by the actors and there are shades of gray, not just endless broodiness and hysterics and stupidity (cough john, todd, rex, cole, hell most all the characters). That's why RH's todd became the 2nd coming when he did. He had a huge dark horrible past that when fleshed out (properly) other shades to him came to light that weren't all dark and bad, ala that thing called human nature and the emotions we all have.
If soaps would follow this line of creating characters they would be major $$$ because most people would tune in for that.
